Default The death of email marketing

If you are anything like me, you get a lot of unsolicited
commercial email (UCE or Spam) each and every day.

Why?

Well, the reasons are many.

1) Email advertising is (used to be) effective.

2) It's rather inexpensive. I know a place where you can buy a
campaign to 50 million for less than $2000. That's a very low CPM
(Cost Per Thousand)!

3) Almost all people who have some sort of access to the internet
have one or more email addresses. Some people have several.
Webmasters and companies may have one or more email address for
every domain or employee they have. That adds up to a lot of
email addresses.

So, why is email marketing no longer what it used to be in the
"Good Old Days"?
Good question.

Thank you.
