No I got myself a PP account(personal), but I really don't know how it all works, like.. how can send people money to me? Founded in 1998, PayPal, an eBay Company, enables any individual or business with an email address to securely, easily and quickly send and receive payments online. PayPal's service builds on the existing financial infrastructure of bank accounts and credit cards and utilizes the world's most advanced proprietary fraud prevention systems to create a safe, global, real-time payment solution.

PayPal has quickly become a global leader in online payment solutions with 100 million account members worldwide. Available in 55 countries and regions around the world, buyers and sellers on eBay, online retailers, online businesses, as well as traditional offline businesses are transacting with PayPal.

PayPal has received close to 20 awards for technical excellence from the internet industry and the business community at large -most recently the 2003 Webby Award for Best Finance Site and the 2003 Webby People's Voice Award for Best Finance Site.
I consider PayPal to be one of the most secure and reliable paying methods that I use on the internet. I always ask for funds to be transferred to me via PayPal or another secure way like a check; but most use PayPal since it is fast and user-friendly.

You need a bank account or credit card to get started, without this you can't SEND money but you CAN RECIEVE MONEY.

You will give them the e-mail address that you signed up with, the one you use to login to your account.

One word of advice; heed it if you like!
Make your password hard and NEVER EVER give it to anyone because you can withdraw funds from a bank account without even getting notice or your bank contacting you!

Yes, you tell people e-mail adress and this is all info they need to send you money.
There are more levels of PayPal accounts. Personal and Business. They also can be Veryfied, Primary...You have diferent benefits or limitations by using a particular "type". There are different tasks...
Notice also:
- PayPal doesn't allow to open accounts in some countries. In other countries you can open it but you can't received funds on it, you can only send them...That means that many customers will not be able to pay you via PayPal. I'm pretty sure you've already heard for e-gold. It's simple, anyone can open it, fees are only 1%, all payments are final (no charge back). Try also moneybookers. It's popular, many people use it.
- PayPal has some chargeback options: Someone who sent you money, can take it back during certain period after payment.

Look on PayPal Home Page. Check also links on the bottom of their site.

It probaly worth while using a seperate email account for use with paypal. Helps keep things neat and tidy.
Big tip for you, when some sends you money they can do it a number of ways
either
1)from their current paypal balance**
or
2)from a credit/debit card/ bank etc

If they were to pay you buy method 2) you would need to upgrade from a personal to a biz or premier account, and paypal will charge you to recieve these payments.

If ppl use method 1) then u are fine and u will not be charged.

I say this because if you get a payment that displays as "pending" or "claim"
then the chances are it is a method 2 payment
