ASP may be for Windows, however you can get an asp "implementation" for apache... Additionally both PHP and ASP will work with MySQL, PosgreSQL, MS SQL and Oracle... there's nothing stating that each one is tied together... PHP+MySQL is just the most common scenerio..
MadKad: There are plenty of ASP sites out there... it doesn't take a lot of effort to find them either... Google Results for PHP 4.9 Billion, ASP 2.95 Billion... Sure there's a difference... but at that point it doesn't really matter.. You won't go past the first hundred or maybe thousand results... Consider that in general more people use PHP so that's why there's more mention of it... but that doesn't mean that the available resources are better.
