Actually, it seems as if the Sony PlayStation 2 is the most POPULAR console
EVER in history. It has sold the most, hands down - but that doesn't make it
the best. Best is very subjective, and varies from person to person,
depending on what kind of games they like to play, selection, and amount of
$$ to spend.

I'm sure we could spend aimless hours discussing why the GameCube,
PlayStation 2 & XBox are the 'best', but it would really be a waste of time
since no one seems capable of discussing pros and cons of each without
turning it into a fifth grade pissing contest.

The games sell more copies on the PlayStation 2 as they have the largest
userbase - not because the other two systems suck. Simple math.

Must you associate an 'image' with each console? If you absolutely must
categorize them, do it in a context that makes sense - as in types of games
available. PlayStation 2 is the RPG lovers friend, and the online sports
game lovers friend. XBox is the FPS lovers friend, and the friend of
high-quality online broadband games. GameCube is the home of tried & true
Nintendo franchises, and a host of various other games that can't really be
shoved into one category.

Each console has strengths, each has weaknessess..but each one has some
fantastic games available, and you're just losing out by not allowing
yourself to experience the great games on any of the three.
