Oscar, as promised. My PC runs wirelessly and my Xbox is connected with
ethernet cable. You may have the IP address to gather automatically. As
you read on you will see I have set mine manually.
My PC IP address for the router is 192.168.1.100. The MAC address of my
modem under the System tab in router settings, I have Mac cloning enabled
and set to my modem MAC address.
I have set the Xbox to IP address 192.168.1.102.
In Xbox Live settings I have set the configuration of IP addresses to
manual. The IP address as stated is set to 192.168.1.102, Subnet Mask to
255.255.255.0 and Gateway to 192.168.1.1. In advanced I have set the host
name and the MAC address to my Xbox MAC address. I am not so sure the last
two are needed but I have set them anyway. DNS Servers are set to automatic
and PPOE setting is set to off.
Port forwarding - This can be accessed in your router advanced settings.
You need to forward UDP on Port 88 and both UDP and TCP on port 3074 with IP
address 192.168.1.102
That's it and it works for me.
Give it a go and let me know if it works
Kind Regards
