The problem turned out to be connected with the way I have my xbox
live set up. I use an shared internet connection through the PC.
Even with the firewall turned off it still causes the problem.
The solution was to connect the xbox directly to the modem which is a
pain in the arse if your modem doesn't have a cat5 output but there
you go.
