Default GPS and Linux

Hi!

I have a Motorola Evaluation-kit GPS. Just a Printed Circuit Board with an
external antenna.
I want to connect it to a Linux-PC (RedHat 9), and see the NMEA data flowing
across my display.

Is anyone here familiar with GPS in combination with Linux?
Needless to say that I am a Linux Newbie! ;-)

It would be fantastic if there were any programs that I could run on my
Linux PC, and that show me my position, coordinates entc., etc.
