Can Street Pilot III be used NOT in a car as well? | | "DLynch" <dmlynch@rogers.com> wrote:

Same here, I have III+, Street Pilot (older model), and now Street
Pilot III Deluxe. I too like each newer model better than older, but
still not 100% happy with the Street Pilot III Deluxe yet.
The Voice Prompt feature is quite nice, Auto-Route is pretty nice,
Color is super. But the problem that Street Pilot III Deluxe doesn't
give good route, and have problem with home address. I haven't used it
outside state yet, but still playing with it at local to learn more
about it. And these are what I have noticed.
On 65 M/H hway (interstate in downtown) I select FAST and it keeps
routing to 35-45 M/H street, and resident street with lot of traffic.

It should use 65 m/h interstate hiway which is MUCH faster and about
same distance or may even little shorter, but it keeps bugging me to
turn left on a 2-3 miles freeway to use 25-35 m/h residental street with
lot of traffic.
Last week, I picked someone up at airport. From home to airport it
pointed one way, when returned home (right at where I picked my friend)
it pointed to different way instead of the opposite of the way I just
came from (from the same street). |
