FYI:
There's a boardgame called "Settlers of Catan" by Mayfair games, one of the
great games in the "Settlers" series. You might look at it for ideas...
Also I did a Google Search on "Settlers of Catan" and found this:

I didn't wait for the applet to connect to the server (too slow), and I
wonder if it is illegal or not.
