Because Levels is easier than Curves to use and scares fewer users. Curves
doesn't scare me I just don't like it. Way too easy to clear up a problem
while creating others you might not notice right off. I have very seldom
found a time that levels wouldn't fix what I needed. Depending on how bad
the yellow color cast is levels may fix it. Super strong ones it will only
lessen. You need to use Hue/Saturation set to yellow and then dial down the
saturation to a negative number. This will remove the yellow without messing
the other colors up. Then run auto color or auto levels or run just plain
levels with your own manual settings.
