The page you refer to says that you need AA version C28903-405 or
later. You say you have version C28903-402, which will not work
with a Prescott CPU, definitely because it doesn't have a BIOS
that recognizes or supports Prescott, and possibly because the
motherboard components cannot support Prescott.
Your best bet would be to return the motherboard and exchange it
for a more recent revision. If you can't do this, you can try borrowing
a Northwood or Celeron CPU to get the system going, and then
update the BIOS to the latest version. You can then try using
the Prescott CPU and see if it now works (it still may not).
If you have trouble getting the borrowed CPU to boot up, try
booting the system with no memory installed at all. You'll get
a warning beep from the onboard speaker (because the CPU
is working and finds no memory), and this will reset the BIOS
to where it will boot up the next time, after you've re-installed
the memory.
