Now I will go out on a limb here and tell you guys I run my PC with the side off and a large 12" fan keeping my system at a constant 125 degrees, I use a PCI fan as well next to the cards, I have fooled with water cooling, and every size of fan or heatsink on my chipsets, and CPUs, now before anyone loses their mind that the fans will not work with the side off, I care about temprature when I am full blown gaming with all the games options turned on full blast, I use the highest resolution I can that the game allows and I can game for up to 4 hours straight without a glich. Now I do blow my system out with compressed air every 4 to 5 days and my system does not sit on the floor, its about 25" off the floor on a cabinet with nothing surrounding it, cooling is my middle name and right now I am making a cowling for a free standing room AC unit that will push cold air right into the cut out I have on the side of my PC right near the two video cards to see if this will be a sollution to cooling when gaming hard, I do not care about sound from fans and the like, using 7 speakers turned up enough to make my wife deaf, fan sound is the least of my worries. Right now the case I am using is a Thermaltake Armor VA8000BNS and it still had dead air space next to the video cards with 6 case fans on board plus I run the Zalman CN9500 CPU fan to boot and I also mount my PSU upside down to aid their cooling as well... |
