My brick was always kept well ventilated too, so I'm guessing it isn't a
problem with the brick.
However, even though I don't have Guitar hero, my problems began directly
after the last update and until that happened the unit was fine.
One other thing I noticed after the update was an irritating squeak on power
up coming form the disk drive, that was definitely not there before.
All things considered I guess I was lucky that I was still in the twelve
months warranty period.
However if this new one goes tits within eighteen months I'll be jumping
ship and replacing it with a PS3,which hopefully will be price cut, and will
have some decent games by then.
