You don't need a receipt. If you have a credit card and bank statement
showing the purchase that will do. Or Gamestation may be able to find the
transaction themselves.

The 'warranty' runs from the date of purchase for 12 months. If you get a
replacement within that time it's still only 12 months from the date of
purchase. Saying that, Gamestation may be different and they may just offer
to exchange it if you explain the situation. After that your procedure is
to write to head office. Send it recorded delivery. I didn't specify a
date I expected to hear from them by but I did quote the relevant SoGA
sections and set out in clear terms what I wanted from them. I wasn't
arsey, just explained exactly what had happened and explained what MS had
said. In your case include that this is the 2nd failure you've had and the
fact that it is 7 months old.

If you hear nothing write again, including a copy of the previous letter.
This time state a time period for the reply - 14 days should do. Mention
you will consider legal action if you hear nothing. If you hear nothing,
write one more time including all communication stating that if you hear
nothing within 7 days you will be taking the matter to court. After that
it's the small claims court for you. I would think it would be an open and
shut case as you've had one failure and now you're got another - both within
the first 12 months of life.

Go and talk to the Gamestation you've got nothing to lose. Good luck!
