Default

well well where do i start

theres......
  • Caldera Linux.....ive heard great things, never used though
  • SuSE Linux........4.5 out of 5, very "user friendly" interface
  • MS-DOS 1.*.
  • MS-DOS 2.*..
  • MS-DOS 3.*...
  • MS-DOS 4.*...... lol these are all just a joke, no one uses DOS har har
  • MS-DOS 5.*...
  • MS-DOS 6.*..
  • MS-DOS 7.*.
  • UNIX.................linux on steriods, expensive, not user friendly at all!!!
  • Xenix................horrible 0.5 out of 5, it has a pretty loading sequence
  • VectorLinux.......havent used it, just know its out there
  • Ultrix................^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  • Tru64 UNIX........average, 3 out of 5
  • Red Hat Linux......awesome 4.75 out of 5, amazingly easy user interface
  • SCO..................cant stand it
  • Mandrake Linux...easy to use, very very watered down
  • DUNIX................just heard of it, couldnt tell you about it

this is just the list of the ones that i know lol, theres prolly like a hundred or so, most are just revisions of linux, due to the fact that it is open source.....so to answer your question Red Hat is awesome, its just not as full as if you had UNIX, i would just recommend staying with Windows XP for now
