For All Clan Members To Read Urgently Important | | Okay his is my long drawn out and detailed suggestions for the clan.
The comments made are not directed at any one person.
Any replies make them to the point, chit chat posts will be DELETED this is a serious thread
At present the Clan consists of three sections of ppl
1)Ppl really want to play and get involved with running the clan for making it a success
2)Ppl really want to play, but not intrested in the running just want to play matches and be part of a team
3)Ppl who say yes but cannt be bothered with any aspect of clan running or clan playing.
With the three sections above if you are in 1 or 2 then great we can work with this and you, if you fit into the third section, then goodbye clan playing is not for you! also these are the ppl we need to lose
With the above in mind it is clear the clan has no defined management/direction or clear agenda at present! left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing etc
Therefore i am gonna suggest a Clan management commitee
This commitee will deal with all aspects all the clan running and management in a clear and defined way, leaving those that just want to play matches and such free to with out getting involved with the politcs also as the politcis run within the commitee any issues that accur will be dealt by with the commitee members and not within training with the clan members. This will help us keep section 2 players happy as they are not intrested in the running just about playing.
The setting up of the committee is as follows
MadKad & MadMax are the owners, founders and are automatically included in the commitee as chair ppl. But request that final decisions at NOT at their discrection. Time may come when chair ppl leave/stand down/move on. If this happens the commitee/clan still needs to run so i feel the power should be within the commitee not with the founders.
Posts i am suggesting to start with are as follows, and would be for ppl that fall in to section 1 as above.
ChairPPl ->
Founders for general overseeing
2x Admins -> To run the website and server. Admin duties will include the setting up/maintence/mointoring of both the server and website. 2 are suggested to give the most flexibility. The roles would be implementing the comittes decision's on things such as map_rotation, setting the server to public/private etc. This way their is no arguements on training nites etc as to who can be arsed resetting the server etc.
1 X Securtery:
This job is just a general person to note decissions and discussion made by the commitee and forward any decisions/ comments to the rest of the clan whether via email, forum thread etc. Would suit a regular forum poster/lurker. Also pass any detail to other commitee memebers. Basically the center for information in and out of the clan/commitee
1 X Recuirct manager: basically any requests from ppl or clan members wanting to request a new member should advise the recuirct manager who can discuss it with the commitee. Would also be responible for mointering the performance of current members/potential members
1 X Match Organiser: This is the main and first contact for where all enquires regarding pre-dated matches go. If a member get a request for a match the member must pass the details of the opposing clan to the match orgainiser who can make the argreements and inform the committe etc. This will be difficult for same night matches etc but will work idea for pre-planned matches.
1 X Member Spokeperson: This is a very small role and is for a regular member and a friendly member that makes them selves known openly to all members and someone that was to help run the clan but not in a critical role. The main role of this person is to relay clan members questions,queries etc to the commitee. Rather than members speaking to different ppl i feel it better that all clan members request that questions/comments/etc to a single person then takes it to the committee.
The commitee would run probaly weekly via a msn chat or TS, would NOT be open to NON comitee persons. Would be a quick structured discussion rather than a free for all. The commitee would also agree repsonbillites or each commitee member about how and what their job entails.
It would also create a set of rules & reg for clan members
No one commitee member has the power over an other, all desisions are made within the comitee. Ie members kicked from the clan is a commitee descision not a member descision.
Any how that is a detailed view of my proprosal, i do have more ideas on the format of it but i am putting it forward to all clan members as it is to either VOTE YES for commitee formation OR NO leave things as they are. If it is decided to run as a commitee threads will be created for ppl to noimate them selves for commitee posts, however voting will not be allowed, i think the first commitee formation should be done to the chairppl to choose rather than the clan do to it being so fragmented.
I know it may seem like a bossy kind of way of doing it but i feel that some members really want to see the clan work and improve and grow and feel that a commitee will give a voice the members that want a voice.
The comittee formation would take place within the next week or so. As i feel we are very quickly losing the intrest of good and keen players.
