That's a good question. When dealing with PR, I've researched that google gives PR in a couple of ways. 1 - Quality, relevant backlinks to site. 2 - Number of pages in your site. In terms of blogs, I've seen some sites with alot of content with higher PR. In terms of SERP, I've seen some sites with 5 - 10 pages, less content, rank #1. I guess keywords and sitebuild play a large factor. I've even seen one page sites have high PR.
My belief is that content is what makes it happen. If it's less on each page, but multiple pages, it's good. If it's less pages, but lots of content on them, that's good too.
