7/11 and Halo 3 Team Up
While you can purchase a slurpy or big gulp at your nearest 7/11, that apparently hasn’t been enough for customers. Undoubtedly one of the most infamous stop shops, 7/11 representatives came to the decision to carry copies of Halo 3 in hopes of attracting a larger customer base.
A Holiday Surprise
It is no question that the Wii by Nintendo has been a hit ever since its release considering that customers are still having a difficult time trying to find a retailer that has it in stock. The success of the Wii has influenced some of the other gaming companies to take action, and Sony has already announced its plans to hopefully compete with Nintendo during this upcoming holiday season. Sony representatives have recently announced that the company will be releasing a Wii-type PS2 model to hopefully turn the heads of some of the customers who have shifted towards Nintendo.
The Battle of the Gaming Consoles
Microsoft has recently announced that the price of its X-Box 360 console will drop $50 on Wednesday, August 8. The most popular version, which comes with a 20-gigabyte hard drive, will go down to $349, which is no doubt a significant decrease for consumers.
Gaming With XBOX 360 Online
The latest in the gaming industry is the XBOX 360, which has been developed and launched by Microsoft. This gaming console is supposed to give a new dimension to the gaming industry. There have been a number of versions of Xbox by Microsoft, and like the others this one is backward compatible with the previous versions. That is, this new gaming device can operate and run all the games that the previous versions were capable of.

Having only recently heard about Nintendo Wii (obviously I’m not a big gamer!) I was interested to find out what it looked like and what was so great about it. I can’t say that I now know what could make it superior but I did find out a few things about the console..

Mario Party 8
Have you picked up a Nintendo Wii yet? If so, then Mario Party 8 is a game is a title that you need to get your hands on as soon as possible. Jam-packed with plenty of mini games that will certainly keep you glued to the screen, Mario Party 8 is even more exciting than the previous versions considering it is Wii-remote compatible.
Pac-Man Championship Edition
While this game was once played at local bars and restaurants, Pac-Man has now found his way to X-Box 360. Noted for its simplicity, Pac-Man has undoubtedly gained widespread popularity as one of the most addicted, comprehensive challenges that a gamer could imagine, though the object of the game is quite basic: catch all the tiny balls in the maze without getting tagged by an enemy.
Sony PS3 Console
The Sony PS 3 was released to the United States in 2006 around the holiday season. There were 1million units released by Sony to the United States, which was a goal they were setting with the newest gaming console. They also set a goal to have shipped 1million units to Europe and recently that goals was met making over 2 million PlayStation 3 gaming consoles to be shipped.
Nintendo Wii Game Console
The Nintendo Wii is manufacturers smallest console thus far. It measures 44mm wide and 157 mm tall. If you took 3 DVD movie cases and stacked them up they would be the size of the Wii. It is also the lightest of the 3 major consoles, the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Wii. It is also considered a 7th generation console. Unlike other gaming consoles you can use the console vertically or horizontally. What is great about the Wii is that you can use Wii Optical Discs and the Game Cube Discs so you can play double the games on a newer system.
Xbox 360 console games
Xbox 360 can hold their own against the PS3 and the Wii. They have some great games that some of them you can’t find on the other console games. The graphics are great. Some of the best games they have for the Xbox 360 Console Game are the Godfather, Superman Returns, Spiderman 3, Lego Star Wars II, X-Men 3 and Forza Motorsport 2. Like the other gaming consoles they have games that fall into different categories like adventure, drama, sports, movies, arcade and role-playing games.
Sony PS3 Games
By now every country in the world has been privileged to have Sony PS3 in their country. When The PlayStation was released here at the end of 2006, it was not released to everywhere around the world just yet. The PlayStation 3 also has backward capability so you can play PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games along with the new games made for the new console.
Nintendo Wii Games
The Nintendo Wii has a great gaming system. They have a feature there that is unbelievable, the backwards compatibility. This means that the Wii can use games from other Nintendo consoles even the Game Cube. The Wii has over 100 games under their belt but the backwards compatibility there are even more games to play. Some of the games the Wii has that are specifically for the Wii are great. They have some games that are not available on other consoles.
Future of Console Development
There are skeptics out there who believe that the gaming consoles are coming to an end. The reason being that they are running out of ideas. That idea could not be farthest from the truth. Gaming consoles have been around since the first Atari came out around 1979. Since then there has been nothing but more and more technological breakthroughs with the consoles. Gaming developers are hard at work as you read this article working on the next big thing.
Comparison between the play station portable and the iPod video
The new iPod video was one of the most surprising products of 2006, due to the fact that iPods didn’t include the video feature, since the launching of the 5th generation of iPods in 2005.
Still, the natural comparison the customers (and not only) made was the one between the play station portable, also known as the PSP and the new model of the iPod series. PSP is basically a handheld game console which was produced by the company Sony Computer Entertainment, back in 2004. The public’s reactions to this new device which was rather different than almost everything on the market was very good, due to the fact that the small device allowed customers to play famous games, and, at the same time, watch clips.
