Making a brochure or leaflets

When making your own brochure or leaflets for giving to your potential customers whether it’s posting them through doors or having them on a counter for collection, there is a certain way you should design them.

When you come to designing your leaflet lets say (brochure, leaflet anything is the same idea) you should get a big collection of leaflets from full successful working business in your area, or even country these business will have done all the marketing they need to find out what works and what doesn’t.

But if you don’t want to collect leaflets you can just do the following, this information I am going to tell you about now, is information that I my self have learnt from looking at leaflets and see why companies succeed and others don’t. First thing you should do, if you are selling products or offering a service the same applies,

1. Always get to the point of your subject within a matter of a small number of words.
2. Doing full fancy, costly and over the top looking leaflets are not needed (just an A5 size with simple looking style will do)
3. Don’t show off all of you high prices, show the price that is low in big text then in smaller text the word “from”.
4. If you do price quotes, offer them FREE and show this in big text.

Now there are some simple rules, these are not hard to follow, remember showing what you do simply to your potential customers will be the best way, because if there interested in you then they will contact you, fancy leaflet or not.

The best way to explain this, is to get your self a magazine or news paper knowing that it will contain lots of leaflets, then grab them all and place these out on a table and see what catches your eye first, I bet it’s the one with not lots of boring to read text and not to fancy.

Good luck.
