Has Halo 3 Lived Up to Its Hype?

Considered one of the most highly-anticipated titles to hit the market, gamers all over the
world longed for the release of Halo 3, which hit shelves on September 25. Now that it has been availabel for a few weeks, many are pondering whether or not this gaming hit has lived up to its expectations.

As far as sales are concerned, it is estimated that Halo 3 pulled in roughly $170 million during its first 24 hours. In addition, X-Box even released special edition gaming consoles specifically customized to suit the Halo lover’s needs. If that is not enough, several companies have manufactured action figures of the most famous characters in the Halo series.

What’s fascinating is the fact that the original manufacturers of the game, Bungie Studios, have ceased their relationship with Microsoft in hopes of becoming an independent faction. Just what does this mean in terms of the success of Halo 3? Many critics have gone on to say that it is very similar to the previous editions. On the other hand, the newly-enhanced multiplayer features provide exceptional game play. Users can now create their own customized maps, and integrated photo shooting allows combatants to relive the memorable moments of defeating the enemy. Aside from all the debate regarding its hype, there is no doubt that Halo 3 will go down as one of the most revolutionary titles to enter the gaming industry.
