DVD Burning Tutorial

Many computer users today have no idea how to burn a DVD despite having the capability. Unquestionably, there are hundreds of different routes a user could take, as there are several software programs that are available to download or purchase.

Essentially, it all comes down to the method that the user feels is the easiest, most efficient, and most comfortable. For me, I utilize two simple programs: DVD Shrink and Nero. DVD Shrink is freeware that can be obtained by doing a Google search and finding a download link. What is neat about it is the fact that users have the option of shrinking the quality of a ripped movie so that it can fit onto a standard-sized DVD-/+ R.

The software also allows one to pick and choose the special features that are added to the new disk. Nero, on the other hand, can be downloaded for a fee or purchased in a local computer store. It is one of the most popular burning programs on the market and is noted for its advanced features in addition to its simplicity.

What’s nice is the fact that the two programs work in conjunction with each other; once DVD Shrink creates the new files, Nero automatically opens and burns them to a blank disk. So the next time you are looking to burn a DVD, you might want to take advantage of the DVD Shrink/Nero combination.
