Apple Takes Control of the Upcoming Holiday Season

Every year, Apple does whatever necessary to insure that one of its products is a premier seller. However, this year, things will be a bit different.

According to a report issued by the Associated Foreign Press, the number of iPhones that a person will be able to purchase at a given time will be limited to two in an attempt to prevent illegal trafficking of the top-selling item. In addition, customers will no longer have the luxury of paying for their iPhones with cash, as Apple is really hoping to be able to provide more concrete financial statistics in terms of its iPhone sales.

Just why has Apple taken these bizarre measures that could possibly hinder iPhone sales? The company claims that it is their way of satisfying their large customer base, considering more iPhones will be available if there is a quantity restriction. However, with a little reading between the lines, it is clear that Apple is hoping to prevent the illegal activity surrounding the use of the iPhone, which includes unlocking the device so that it can work on unauthorized networks.

Apple representatives have estimated that as many as 250,000 iPhone models have been used illegally. It will be very interesting to monitor the progression of the iPhone sales this upcoming holiday season with the new sale restrictions in place.
